PG700 series OPGs are excellent choice for researchers who need picosecond tunable sources from mid IR to far IR. Featuring 1 kHz repetition rate and due to the unique broad tunability range these devices are a very attractive and cost-efficient alternative to other tunable laser radiation sources.
PG700 series optical parametric generators (OPG) are designed for use together with PL2210 series mode-locked picosecond lasers. The optical layout is optimized for pumping with 1 kHz pulse trains with up to several mJ pulse energy.
The tuning range of OPGs can be extended with difference frequency generator (DFG) stages.
PG711-DFG model produces nearly Fourier transform limited bandwidth pulses in broad tuning range. Bandwidths of 0.5-0.8 cm-1 were measured in the spectral range up to 16 μm, which makes this device excellent choice for time-resolved infrared spectroscopy.
Microprocessor based control system provides automatic positioning of relevant components allowing handsfree operation. Nonlinear crystals, diffraction grating and filters are rotated by ultra-precise stepper motors in microstepping mode with excellent reproducibility. Precise nonlinear crystal temperature stabilization ensures long-term stability of generated wavelength and output power.
For customer convenience system can be controlled using user-friendly remote control pad or through RS232 interface from personal computer (PC) using supplied LabView drivers. Both options allow easy set of the output wavelength and monitoring of pump pulse energy with build in photodetector.
